4-Hardwood Floors:
Pre-finished hardwood Floors provide a hard, durable finish, are an installation time saver, and eliminate the sanding dust dilemma
Pre-finished and engineered wood flooring will become more popular than the once gold-standard of site-finished flooring.  . Engineered wood floors are also compatible with under-floor heating systems, a big plus in cold climates.

 5-Color Palette:
Self-priming paints save work time. Our top picks let you skip priming and paint directly over old finishes, bare wood, and wall. One coat of a recommended paint should be enough to hide most colors beneath. Even with these paints, a second coat adds richness and results in a more even finish.

Charcoal is the new black.  2013 will find this silky color everywhere as it blends the right amount of chocolate, grey and a touch of green.

Using marble in home remodeling has a long history, as far as Ancient Rome. Marble has been used over thousand of years to establish everything from architectural structures to modern kitchens and bathrooms. Michelangelo’s David famous Sculptures have been carved from this prized stone and it has always held its appeal throughout the years.

Marble, a luxurious choice that is often more expensive than other countertop surfaces, but is worth the investment since it’s elegant and forever timeless. There are two varieties of Italian marble that are similar in appearance, both milky white with gray veining, and they are Carrara and Calacatta. Carrara has more delicate, lighter veining; Calacatta is a rarer, pricier stone and has bolder more defined strokes, yet both are a desirable luxury stone.
